About Lew Sauder

Hi.

Welcome to my project management blog. I post every other Wednesday on all things project management.

I am the author of Project Management 101: 101 Tips for Success in Project Management. It’s a business novel (a parable?) about a young woman who is assigned to manage the project of her career. In the process she faces setbacks and challenges, she learns a few things about project management, and even mentors others on some of her own management and leadership knowledge.

I’ve been a project manager for over 15 years and have learned a lot about it the hard way.  I wrote Project Management 101 to help new project managers get off to a good  start.

I encourage you to read a few of my blog posts. If you like them, please sign up for my email list. I’ll update you when I’ve added a new post and let you know about any new releases, but I promise not to email you too frequently.

I would also appreciate if you’d leave a comment on any blog posts you have an opinion. I generally respond to comments. Feel free to share these posts on your favorite social media platform too. If  you liked it, someone else may like it too?

I’ve also written Consulting 101: 101 Tips for Success in Consulting. It’s an easy to read book where most of the tips have a short case study providing an example of what to do – or what not to do – and then a lesson learned. Check out my Consulting blog here.

I co-authored The Reluctant Mentor with Jeff Porter. It’s a book about how baby boomers can mentor millennials, and how millennials can mentor boomers.  We have a bi-weekly blog on mentoring here.

I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science at Illinois State University and an MBA at Northwestern University’s  Kellogg School of Management.

I live in the suburbs of Chicago, IL with my wife and family. I can be reached at Lew@LewSauder.com.
