Project hell-Agile tags in a Christmas tree

Project Hell

Dashing through our sprint
With my team in the team-room
Trying not to reveal a hint
Of my panicked sense of doom.

Development is slow.
The QA team’s behind.
How do I tell the executives
That the project’s in a bind.

(chorus)

Project hell, project hell.
We have a long delay.
The system that you wanted in March
Will not go live ’til May.

A day or two ago
We met the business side.
Our work we’d like to show
To ensure that we’re in stride.

Our demo made them sore
But they finally did concede
You gave us what we asked you for
But it isn’t what we need.

Happy holidays to all project teams out there.
